પરસેવાનું વાવેતર અને સપનાની કૂંપળ** સૌરાષ્ટ્રની એ ધરતી જ્યાં ઉનાળામાં સૂરજ આગ ઓકતો હોય અને શિયાળામાં હાડ થીજવતી ટાઢ પડતી હોય, ત્યાંના એક નાનકડા ગામડાના છેવાડે રઘુભાઈની ઝૂંપડી જેવી ઓરડી આવેલી હતી. ગામ આખું જ્યારે હજી મીઠી નિંદ્રામાં પોઢેલું હોય, ત્યારે રઘુભાઈના ઘરમાં અંધારામાં જ ચૂલાનો દેતવો સળગી જતો. શાંતિબા ધૂંધળા અજવાળામાં બાજરાના રોટલા ઘડતા અને રઘુભાઈ પોતાની ફાટેલી કોથળીમાં કલેવું (ભાથું) ભરીને તૈયાર થઈ જતા.
