ઈ.સ.1975 ની એ અંધારી રાત અને ગોધરાથી દેવગઢ બારિયા જતો એ સૂમસામ રસ્તો. બરોબર ચાંચેલાવ રેલ્વે સ્ટેશન આવવાનુ થયું અને ગાડીએ ગરમી પકડી અને બંધ થઈ પડી. અમાવાસ હોવાથી રાતનું અંધારું વધારે ઘેરું થતું હોય એવું લાગ્યું. એવામાં પાછળથી કોઈનો અવાજ આવ્યો શું થયું સાહેબ?. એક ઘરડો વ્યકિત દેખાવે મુસ્લીમ લાગતો હતો અને મોઢામાં રાખેલી બીડી ફૂંકતો એ વ્યક્તિ અંધારપટ ઇલાકામાં આશાનું કિરણ લઈને આવ્યો. નામ એનું ઇકબાલ કહ્યું.
