Gaurishankar Govardhanram Joshi (Gujarati: ગૌરીશંકર ગોવર્ધનરામ જોશી 1892–1965), better known by his pen name Dhumaketu (Gujarati: ધૂમકેતુ), was an Indian writer,[1] who is considered one of the pioneers of the Gujarati short story. He published twenty-four collections of short stories, as well as thirty-two novels on social and historical subjects, and plays and travelogues.
